Four people, including three children aged 6 to 16, were seriously injured in a crash in Milton on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Cyanamid Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

A 16-year-old girl from Pace was driving an SUV north on Avalon with three passengers: a 64-year-old Pensacola man, and two Pace boys aged 6 and 9 respectively.

The driver began making a left turn from Avalon onto Cyanamid, but failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming truck, the report said. The front of the truck struck the right side of the SUV. The force of the collision pushed the rear of the SUV into the left side of a third vehicle that had been stopped waiting to turn right from Cyanamid Road to Avalon.

The 6-year-old, 16-year-old and 64-year-old were all seriously injured, and the 9-year-old was critically injured.

The drivers of the two trucks, a 41-year-old man from Mobile, Alabama, and a 40-year-old man from Brewton, Alabama, were both unharmed.
