(WOAI) - Actor Dean Norris has a message for Americans complaining about record-high gas prices.

On Wednesday, Norris took to Twitter and said current gas prices are “fair market.”

"You're not getting “robbed” at the pump. You’re paying fair market price for a commodity. If you love Capitalism so much then stfu."

The national average for a gallon of gas was more than $4.98, according to AAA. Before 2022, the highest national gas price average ever recorded by AAA was $4.114 per gallon in July of 2008.
