A northeast Missouri man is accused of wielding a knife in an aggressive manner while he was intoxicated.
The suspect is Travis Laine Newland, 33, of Macon.
A Macon police officer said in court documents that he was called to Newland's home on Sunday for a domestic incident involving a knife.
When he arrived, the officer said he saw Newland trying to kick open the side door to the garage.
The suspect was placed in wrist restraints.
The reporting party told police Newland had been drinking since noon and became aggressive when he couldn't find his medication.
According to court documents, Newland grabbed a 7” knife and started stabbing a TV and a wall.
The accuser said he then pulled a kitchen cabinet door off its hinges and threw a compound bow across the room, where it landed in a baby crib.
Newland is now charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child due to five children being present. He also faces one count of first-offense peace disturbance. All six crimes are misdemeanors.
Newland is being held in the Macon County jail on $5,000 cash-only bond.
