SHELDON—One person was injured in a car-deer accident about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, on the Highway 60 expressway near Sheldon.

Thirty-nine-year-old Reid Clifford DeVoge of Chassell, MI, was driving south on the expressway when his 2015 Subaru Legacy struck a deer near the 300th Street intersection about two miles northeast of Sheldon, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

All air bags were deployed in the crash.

Forty-five-year-old Ashley DeVoge of Chassell, MI, the front-seat passenger, suffered a possible broken arm and was transported by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.

No injuries were reported to the driver and two back-seat passengers.

The vehicle was totaled.
