District, the new globally inspired restaurant and bar in Addison at The Village on the Parkway is now open for brunch on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The rustic yet refined concept pairs a menu of globally inspired shareable plates with an extensive and diverse wine and whiskey program. The result is a memorable tasting experience that you can share with friends and family in a place that feels like home.
District’s Chef Partner, Aaron Staudenmaier says, “We’re looking forward to serving our guests a brunch menu that offers familiar dishes utilizing unique ingredients to create globally inspired flavors. Our brunch cocktails are the perfect pairing alongside these brunch items to complete the experience.”
The brunch menu features entrees such as Chicken & Waffles – savory Oaxaca cheese – herb waffle, fried chicken, Spanish chorizo cream gravy; Braised Short Rib Hash – short rib, banana peppers, crispy potatoes, guajillo demi, sunny up eggs; PB&J French Toast Sammy – local ciabatta, seasonal “hootch jam”, screwball – peanut butter whipped cream; and the Recovery Burger – double smash style, smoked gouda, local bun, horseradish-black garlic sauce, sunny egg.
Brunch pizzas are also available including the Breakfast Omelette – Italian sausage, potatoes, banana peppers, scmorza, garlic white sauce, sunny eggs; The Healthy One – smoked salmon, garlic cream cheese, grated yolk, onion, capers, everything spice; and Wake Up Call – fried chicken, bacon, chorizo gravy, mozzarella, sunny eggs, housemade hot sauce.
Refreshing brunch cocktails are offered such as District Bloody Mary – Nue Vodka, housemade bloody mary mix; Carajillo – Dark roast Costa Rican coffee, Licor 43, toasted cinnamon; French 75 – bubbles, Ford’s gin, fresh squeeze lemon juice; Sleep Delays My Life – Borghetti espresso liqueur, Baileys, Godiva chocolate liqueur; and Spice of Life – Hendricks gin, St. Germaine, cucumber, Sriracha.
