Nellie Mae Spittler, 81, of Buffalo, formerly of Plad, died Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Springfield.
She was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Urbana, Mo. to Marshall and Goldie (Garrison) Young. On Oct. 1, 1960, she married Ronald (Ronnie) Spittler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandson.
Nellie was a member of Plad Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Ronnie; her daughter, Marsha; three grandchildren, Dustin, Kasey, and Samone Ronnell; six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Parker, Chloe, Jolene, Dylan, Charlotte; one brother, Billy Jim Young, and one sister, Mary Lou Stith.
Funeral services for Nellie Mae Spittler will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo.
Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
