Morgan White has always known that singing would carry her far beyond the Appalachian peaks that she calls home. Born in the southern coalfields of West Virginia, she is referred to as a modern day “Coal Miner’s Daughter”! Her first album entitled “I’m Gone” produced two No. 1 singles.
The album’s title track, “I’m Gone”, remained at the top of the charts for 12 straight weeks on Hot Country Radio in the Carolinas.
In 2017, Morgan released her highly-anticipated, self-titled, sophomore album.
The album, with songs all co-penned by White, produced her first nationally released single, “Sad and Lonely”. With its soaring chorus, it has garnered national attention on several music industry charts and media outlets.
2019 proved to be a huge year for Morgan. She signed a recording contract with MC1 Nashville/ Sony Orchard and released the single “Good Thing Gone”. The single, which hit Music Row and national radio stations worldwide, was written by Nashville hit songwriters Carly Pearce, Joel Shewmake, and Allison Veltz and was produced in Brentwood, Tenn., by Grammy-nominated hit producer Sal Oliveri (Chris Stapleton/ Pink, “Love Me Anyway”).
Morgan wrapped up her 2019 Tour at the Josie Music Awards with three nominations and taking home the coveted Female Entertainer of the Year award.
In 2021, Morgan inked a deal with NashTown Entertainment! Morgan is currently taking country music radio by storm with her brand new, much-anticipated single, “Take Me”. The single, written by Nashville hit songwriters Kelleigh Bannen and Scooter Carosue, is currently climbing the national radio charts.
After numerous single and album releases, Morgan is proving to be quite a force in the music industry, having already created an impressive resume.
Influenced by legends like Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood, Morgan is a true vocal stylist. This sassy, strikingly powerful, ultra-entertainer is bound and determined to follow in the footsteps of these greats!!! While she has some pretty big shoes to fill, this little lady is up for the challenge.
She’s back by popular demand.
White recently performed an acoustic concert at the Alpine Theatre. Fans are excited to hear she’s coming back to Ripley as part of ‘America’s Largest Small-Town Independence Celebration’ with her full band. She’ll be joined by Ripley native Jeff Ray, guitarist Rob Lightner, bass player Tom Mallory and drummer Dave Parks.
The free show is 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 on the Constellium Stage on the lawn of the Jackson County Courthouse.
