EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wisconsin, (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Wisconsin homicide suspect authorities said may have been hiding out in the Upper Peninsula has been arrested in Phillips, Wisconsin.
Philip Novak has taken into custody without incident late Tuesday night.
Although Novak was the primary suspect is in custody, the sheriff’s office said it is still following up on a number of leads and has additional interviews to conduct.

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wisconsin, (WPBN/WGTU) -- A homicide suspect is believed to be hiding in northern Wisconsin or Michigan's Upper Peninsula, according to the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office.
Philip R. Novak, 36, is a suspect in the murder of Eddie L. Banks, 46, the sheriff's office said.

At 11:03 a.m. on June 16, the sheriff's office says they were notified of a dead body located in a ditch in the township of Clear Creek in Wisconsin.
There is no reason to believe the general public is in danger as this homicide appears to be an isolated incident, the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office said.
