The celebrities and recognizable names whose faces we see on the covers of magazines and tabloids — they seem so successful, so rich, and so pretty. How could they truly have problems? Problems like us?

Colton Haynes, American actor and model known for his starring role as Jackson in the MTV supernatural drama series Teen Wolf and as Roy Harper Arsenal in the CW superhero television series Arrow, is one of those "pretty people".

In his new book Miss Memory Lane, a memoir that took almost three years to write — in an unflinching honest approach — he addresses his struggles with sexuality, addiction, the loss of his parents, and his hopes for a better future for today’s queer youth to live in their truth.

For this episode, we spend a full hour with the actor and author as he pulls back the curtain on his life and career, revealing the incredible highs and devastating lows.

Town Square with Ernie Manouse is a gathering space for the community to come together and discuss the day's most important and pressing issues.

Audio from today’s show will be available after 5 p.m. CT. We also offer a free podcast here, on iTunes, and other apps.
