Starting this weekend, a NASCAR icon's brewing company will open a pop-up taproom in Music City.
Michael Waltrip Brewing Company, founded by two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip, will host a temporary taproom at 920 Broadway starting Friday. It'll be open to beer lovers through July 9.
The pop-up will feature the brand’s main line up of craft beers, including Blonde Ale, Vamanos Mexican Lager, and Checkered Past coconut IPA, as well as specialty offerings from the company's brewery in Bristol.
"Sharing our beer in Music City is a dream come true for me," driver Waltrip said. "I grew up watching my brother win races at the Fairgrounds. I’ve even won there myself! So If your passion is County Music, NASCAR or you live just down the street or even all three, I look forward to drinking a beer with you on Broadway."
Waltrip is expected to host a special event for fans and the public on July 8 at the Broadway location ahead of the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for the SRX Racing Series.
