Continuing to make progress on the recruiting trail for 2023, head coach Tommy Lloyd and Arizona Basketball have offered four-star wing, Cody Williams.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Arizona Basketball as Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats have been hitting the recruiting trail hard, securing commitments from five-star point guard Kylan Boswell and four-star shooting guard KJ Lewis for 2023, as well as adding several pieces for 2022 as well.

Luckily for us, the recruiting efforts haven’t stopped for the Wildcats as coach Lloyd and Co. were busy this weekend in attendance for the Section 7 Tournament in Glendale. And one player in attendance that the Wildcats were there scouting was four-star wing, Cody Williams.

A standout wing from Perry High School in Gilbert, AZ, Cody is ranked as the No. 45 player overall in the class and is the No. 8 overall player for his position. He is also the No. 3 overall player from the state of Arizona according to 247Sports.

At 6-feet-8-inches and weighing 180 pounds, Williams is a tall and lanky wing that is drawing a lot of early interest from several programs. And with offers from Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Texas, and Texas Tech among others, Arizona is just one of many potential suitors now vying for Cody.

Making news on Monday evening, it was announced that the Wildcats have finally jumped in on this recruitment.

And with Arizona Basketball now offering Cody Williams, the hope is that the Wildcats have an opportunity to make up a lot of ground in this recruitment.

We are still a whole year away from the 2023 recruits even signing their National Letters of Intent; however, the Wildcats are already off to a strong start as Kylan Boswell and KJ Lewis are currently committed.

Beyond that, the Wildcats are gaining a lot of momentum with five-star 2023 forward, Kwame Evans Jr. as well.

Cody just seems to be the next major target for Lloyd and the Wildcats!

At 6-foot-8, Williams possesses the ideal size and length for a college wing. He also has tremendous athleticism and versatility to allow him to play several positions a the next level.

Right now, Cody will need a bit more development, and he will have to add more size and strength; however, based on his film, the raw potential and talent are there. Here’s a little taste of the Wildcats’ latest offer!
