Enid police say they were involved in two high speed pursuits over the weekend.
It was Van Buren Cruise weekend in Enid and police say several drivers were caught street racing.
They say this led to two chases that hit speeds near one hundred miles per hour.
Enid police say Saturday night they saw a red Mustang racing another car along US 81 and the driver refused to pull over.
"The officer pursued the vehicle through some residential neighborhoods and back to US 81 before the Mustang was able to speed off," Enid police PIO Cass Rains said.
A few minutes later, officers say they spotted the same red Mustang parked in a driveway and arrested the driver, Justin Rabe.
Police say Rabe had two underaged passengers in the car during the chase.
"When you reach that high of speeds, you lose control and the amount of time you have to correct any mistakes diminishes to zero," Rains said.
Enid police say on Sunday, they saw a motorcycle street racing.
"The driver of the motorcycle was reckless in their driving and had nearly ran several vehicles off the roadway," Rains said.
Officers say they were able to identify the driver and his passenger so they called off the pursuit.
"The owner of the motorcycle was able to identify who was fleeing from our officers and who the passenger was," Rains said. "We have sent paperwork to the district attorney's office seeking charges. "
Police say it is lucky no one was hurt.
Officers want to remind drivers to always pull over for emergency vehicles when you see them coming.
