Starbucks near Syracuse University campus to close permanently

SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
Syracuse University students will soon have to find another place to get their caffeine fix as a Starbucks located blocks from the campus will permanently close on Thursday, June 23, according to a sign posted on the door.

The coffee shop on 177 Marshall Street was once labeled one of the busiest Starbucks locations in the country.
The location will remain open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, and will host an event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday to say goodbye to the community.
The family-friendly event will feature activities.

“This is our way of giving back to you as you have given to us as we say goodbye to this location,” a sign posted on the door reads.
