Protective order against Rajon Rondo dismissed

The emergency protective order filed against NBA point guard Rajon Rondo last month has been dismissed, TMZ Sports reported on Monday.

Court documents show that Rondo and Ashley Bachelor "reached an agreement," although details of that agreement have not been made public. A judge ordered a dismissal of the petition on June 16.

Bachelor, who is the mother of Rondo's children, filed the protective order in Louisville, Kent., on May 13 after she said Rondo became violent with her while he was playing video games with their son. Bachelor said Rondo smashed several things in the house and left, returning with a gun.

This was not Rondo's first brush with the law. In 2020, Rondo and a then-girlfriend were sued for $1 million following a fight in a Los Angeles parking lot.

TMZ said requests for comment from Rondo on the current incident were not answered.

Rondo, 36, has one year remaining on his current contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 6.2 points and 4.9 assists in 12 games played for Cleveland last season, which followed a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.
