Motorcycle accident injures man from Monett

A motorcycle accident on a Farm Road about 3 miles east of Butterfield in Barry County resulted in injuries to a man from Monett at 8:25 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a 2022 Honda motorcycle operated by 43-year-old Christopher B. Kessinger of Monett traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.

The patrol says Kessinger was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He was transported to Cox South  Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
