The Maynard Sportsman Club is sponsoring this year’s Fathers day classic.
"It's been going on for over twenty years, for the last couple years we didn't get to have it because of the virus and everything. so, we tried to bring it back and this is what we got. pretty surprised," said Howard Stoner, Manager of Maynard’s Sportsman Club.
The organizers were pleased with the number of families that came to enjoy the food and show especially for it being put on hold for a couple years.
"Well a lot of these vehicles are passed down from father to son after their passing and there's a lot of sentimental value around here right now. A lot of good backstories, just sometimes you hear some stories and it'll bring a tear to your eye, just listening to them,” said Dany Hepburn, Trustee of Maynard’s Sportsman Club.
The event included 50's music, traditional food and a raffle. Everybody was allowed to register for the cruise as long as the vehicle was from 1989 or older. awards were also presented to winners of specific categories.
"I’m happy to be back here this year in the beautiful town of Maynard. a lot of the car owners we're aging so we're like grandfathers and fathers. It's a good place for family to come for the day," said Gary Zearott
