Olivia Munn celebrates post-baby body: ‘I only have love for it’

Olivia Munn admits that the postpartum road “is rough” but “so worth it.”

The actress took to Instagram to celebrate her post-baby body over the weekend, nearly seven months after giving birth to her first child, son Malcolm, with comedian John Mulaney.

“My body hasn’t snapped back, but it made this little guy so I only have love for it,” Munn, 41, wrote over a video clip of herself holding her baby boy and swaying him side to side.

Plenty of her celebrity friends took to the comments section to share their support, including “Dancing With the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who wrote, “You are perfect the way you are.”

“Big hugs friend. It’s a tough road motherhood,” added actress and fellow mom Brianne Davis. “I feel you. It was tough for me after Davis too. You got this… 🧡🧡🧡.”

“Leverage” star Beth Riesgraf also weighed in, writing, “Hang in there, I remember a friend telling me that our mind/body is wired to make us focus on one thing after birth- our babies. And that the brain fog and all the rest is a way to make you prioritize your baby cub.”

She added, “I’m not sure if that’s true but It helped me feel better knowing that in time it would all come together again- and I can promise you it will all be better than ever ❤️.”

Since giving birth to Malcolm back in November 2021, Munn has been vocal about the ups and downs of parenting via social media. She revealed in March that she was suffering from postpartum anxiety, and told fans that her hair was “falling out in clumps” one month later.

“1:54 am. Post partum life right now: everyone’s asleep except me. Been wearing the same sweatshirt for three days (I think, maybe more?),” Munn wrote in her March post.

“I’m so so happy and at the same time I’m struggling (weird to feel both simultaneously yet so grateful to have all the happiness to keep me afloat).”

In another post shared to her Instagram Stories at the time, Munn said that her hips were still feeling “wonky” after giving birth.

“My post partum anxiety is still here (and horrible), but I got myself up and took my first capoeira lesson today,” she added. “Getting back to martial arts made me feel a little bit more like myself. Hope I can keep it up.”

Prior to becoming Malcolm’s mom, Munn confessed in a November 2021 interview on the “Today” show that both she and Mulaney, 39, were “scared” to become parents.

“I feel good. l feel scared. I feel nervous, and I’m excited. I feel every day the feelings are just rotating through,” the then-pregnant actress said.

“Honestly, thank God for Instagram and Facebook and blogs because there’s a lot of moms who put out such great information, and that’s been a saving grace for me.”
