Posted

BWMH Auxiliary met in the Cooper-Clark Room at the Library on June 8, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. Twelve members were in attendance: Sue-Ellen Borthwick, Joyce Briggs, Delores Currier, Jeri Howard, Taunya Lindahl, Sandy Maris, Flo Martin, Kim Martin, Jeryl Smith, Carol Spady, Doloris Ungles, and Bonnie Walters.

The meeting was called to order by Delores Currier. The Auxiliary Prayer and Task were recited. May minutes were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was presented and approved.

Correspondence: A thank you note from Mia Rock, one of the scholarship recipients.

Deloris Currier asked the Pink Ladies and Visiting Angels if any changes would need to be made for the month of July. There were no scheduling changes for the month of July.

Taunya Lindahl asked if everyone had been able to receive a copy of the latest newsletter. The newsletter will continue to be published on an every other month schedule.

Kim Martin has taken over duties from Pat Feezor of managing the Blood Drive. Bonnie Walters will be assisting her. Kim Martin recommended continuing to offer pizza as part of the refreshments available for blood donors. It was decided to limit the number of pizzas to three and see how that would work. In the past, five pizzas were usually ordered and there was quite a bit left over.

The Gift Shop schedule for the remainder of June and the month of July was discussed. With some people being absent during this time, auxiliary members offered to fill in and some trading of work schedules took place to ensure the gift shop would be open.

Taunya Lindahl reported on Marketing/Facebook. With the completion of the June Sidewalk Sale, there was discussion on improving the advertising for next time. Ideas included announcements from Bob Dale with KULY and using flags or balloons. Taunya will also post on Facebook Father’s Day merchandise that is in the Gift Shop.

Taunya Lindahl also reported on Wish List items that had been ordered at the request of hospital personnel. No billing has yet to be received for the elevated chairs, but all other items have been paid.

Delores Currier reminded us that the Grant County Fair is scheduled for July 20, 21, and 22 this year. It was decided that we would not participate in having a booth at the fair for this year.

Delores Currier requested that someone assist Joyce Brom with vendors. This would include helping with set up, phone calls, billing and payroll deduct. There are currently three vendors that visit our hospital. Garbero Gifts is here once a year, Linens once a year, and Scrubs come to the hospital twice a year.

The meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.. Our next meeting is Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
