Defendant In Stutts’ Case Found Dead In Prison Cell

S.C. Department of Corrections inmate Lorenzo Inman, 31, was found unresponsive in his cell at Lee Correctional Institution on May 29, according to Chrysti Shain of SCDC. He did not have a roommate.
The case is being investigated by the SCDC Office of Investigations and Intelligence. An autopsy was performed, and they are awaiting results from toxicology. Foul play is not suspected.
Inman was one of three defendants in the death of 75-year-old Mary Stutts in August 2009.
