Large shark caught off Surfside Beach in Texas

SURFSIDE BEACH, Texas - A large shark was caught recently off a Texas beach.

A woman posted photos on Facebook of a group of men wrangling a the shark on the shore at Surfside Beach.
"Just saw this while driving down the beach at surf side!!!," said Stevie Jo Tipton on Facebook.
Tipton told San Antonio's Express News that "she witnessed the fishermen use a fishing pole to catch the shark and then release it shortly after."
No word on what kind of shark was caught by the fisherman. According to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the five most common sharks found along the Texas coast are bull shark, Atlantic sharpnose shark, blacktip shark, bonnethead shark and spinner shark.
Surfside Beach is almost 40 miles southwest of Galveston.
