The Missouri State Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet pickup that fled the scene of a fatal crash.

The patrol has not publicly named the owner of the vehicle, and the name of the driver is listed as "unknown" in an online crash report.

What is known is that Patrick Anderson was driving east on Farm Road 1180, 3.5 miles west of Jenkins in Barry County on Wednesday morning.

Anderson, 38, of Aurora, was driving a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle when it was hit by the northbound Chevrolet. He was wearing a helmet.

The patrol said the Chevrolet failed to yield to the motorcycle and struck it.

Patrol responded to the crash. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The other vehicle was found empty.
