Baden police said they got a call about a husky that was reportedly tethered outside with a muzzle and no access to shade or water on Wednesday afternoon when the feels like temperatures were hitting 100 degrees.

Police say the dog was taken to the vet but had to be euthanized due to supposed heat stroke.

The humane society said Di Xiao is facing two felony charges of aggravated cruelty to an animal in connection with the dog's death.

In that Commonwealth of Pennsylvania it is illegal for an owner to leave their pet outside for more than 30 minutes when temperatures exceed 90 degrees.

While they are outside, pets should have access to water and shade.

The human society says on hot days to keep your pets inside, avoid sidewalks, and stay out of cars as much as possible.
