Chamber Coffee

There will be no Chamber coffee this week. If your business or organization would like to host a coffee, call the Grant County Chamber at 620-356-4700.

Farmer’s Market

The Farmer’s Market is being held each Saturday morning at the Historic Adobe Museum in Ulysses. Bring your home grown, hand made and hand crafted items to sell beginning at 8:00 AM. There is no charge. Call the museum at 620-356-3009 for more information.

Golf Scramble

The Ulysses Ladies Golf Association is hosting a two-lady scramble tournament on Saturday, June 11th at the Bentwood Golf Course. The entry fee is $100 and cart rental is $24.20. Lunch and mulligans are included in the entry fee. A shotgun tee-off will be held at 8:30 AM. To sign up, call the clubhouse at 620-356-3097 or Delores Currier at 620-356-2565.

Pickin’ on the Porch

If you enjoy making music or just listening to it, the Grant County Museum will be hosting “Pickin’ on the Porch” on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM beginning on June 9th. The singers and players will be performing from the porch of the Hotel Edwards. For more information, call the museum at 620-356-3009.

Blood Drive

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is holding a blood drive on Friday, June 10th. The drive will be held from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM in the Cultural Hall at 210 W. Maize Ave. To make an appointment, call 620-952-9523 or 620-356-3070 or go to redcrossblood.org and search by zip code.

Golf Scramble

The American Legion of Ulysses will be hosting their annual golf scramble on Saturday, June 18th at Bentwood Golf Course. To register or to get information on sponsorship, call Silas Rosales at 913-375-3396.

Teen Volunteer Program

The Grant County Library is offering a teen volunteer program this summer in June and July. If you are interested in helping with the summer reading activities and fair booth creative planning, call 620-356-1433 or stop by the library.

Race Across America

The Grant County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for Race Across America from June 18th to 22nd. The time station will be located at the fire department and volunteers are needed to man the station. Call the Chamber at 620-356-4700.

USD 214 Board of Education

The School Board’s next meeting will be Monday, June 13, 2022, 7:00 PM at the Kepley Middle School library.

Commissioners

The next Grant County Commissioners meeting will be Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the courthouse at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public.

City Council

The Ulysses City Council meeting will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022, 5:00 PM at City Hall. Open to the public.

Medical Fund

A medical fund has been established at Grant County Bank for Susana Barron. She has been diagnosed with pancreatic/lung cancer. Donations can be brought in or mailed to 201 S. Main.
