(WWJ) -- Just days following Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley's FBI arrest, his favorability among GOP voters seems to have increased, according to a new poll.

The EPIC-MRA poll, conducted by the Detroit Free Press, finds Kelley, an Allendale real estate broker, to be the top candidate to take on Democratic Incumbent Gretchen Whitmer in November. He garnered 17% in the poll.

This is all despite the fact that he was charged last week in connection to the riot at the U.S Capitol.

The other candidates followed a good distance behind. Chiropractor Garrett Soldano had 13% of support, while Kevin Rinke, a Bloomfield Township auto dealership owner, had 12%.

Nearly half, about 45%, say they haven't decided who to vote for or didn't answer.

Those polled were also asked if they thought President Joe Biden “stole” the November 2020 election from former President Donald Trump; 61% of respondents said they thought the election was stolen, while just 22% feel Biden won fair and square. Those who were undecided or declined to answer were 17%.
