According to the Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office, a body was found yesterday in Jeff Davis County. Authorities say the human remains are believed to be Nancy Echeverria, who was reported missing out of Atkinson County.

The Sheriff's Office said air support was requested to assist in the search after searching the Southwestern parts of Jeff Davis County with few results.

Officers utilized cellphone services to track Echeverria's GPS location. A vehicle matching the description of the Mrs. Echeverria's was also found.

During the search, they discovered the human remains believed to be Nancy Echeverria.

The Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office, Atkinson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Natural Resources investigated the scene.

No other information is known at this time.
