Whoopi Goldberg isn’t a fan of The View guest host Alyssa Farah Griffin comments on ageism regarding Joe Biden running for the 2024 election on The View.

Griffin, a former White House Director of Strategic Communications, jumped into the conversation by pointing out that the American people are looking for someone to bring gas prices down, reduce inflation, and a plethora of other payments they seemingly can’t afford. She began her statement by asking, “Who is best fit to beat Donald Trump? Because he should never be president again.” She continued. “I’m not sure it’s Joe Biden and the fact that David Axelrod, Obama, and Biden’s senior advisor came out and said ‘he’s going to be 82,’ it’s not about age. I don’t think he has the same sharpness I saw five years ago with Biden. Who will the Dems run with to bring that Obama energy?”

Whoopi took over the conversation by shutting down Griffin’s “Obama energy” statement, “I don’t think we need Obama energy. We need somebody who can get the country back in line because if you can name a Republican who has a shot, that’s what I want to see.”

At that point Sunny Hostin added in a quirky joke about Donald Trump’s age: “I hate that people think he’s too old, I mean. if the former twice impeached, disgraced President thinks he such a spring chicken– he’s going to be 78 when Joe Biden is 81 — I don’t like this ageism argument.”

Undeterred, Farrah continued her argument by stating that she is against ageism as well — but also believes the Democrat and Republican parties have better options than Donald Trump and Joe Biden. “I would love to see a sane republican run, and I think Pence is gearing up too — I think Pompeo is considering it — we deserve better options other than two octogenarians.”

That’s when Whoopi cut in before the commercial break to shut down Farrah, “WHO? I have to tell you that– it is the age. You’re being ageist, and I’m going to say it! You know, Ronald Reagan had Alzheimers.” While Farrah protested, Goldberg continued to speak over her. “He was much younger than 80, and I don’t think that what’s going to make it happen. It’s not your energy. It is what you can get done.”
