Dana & Parks: A 'cautiously optimistic' cancer treatment shows promising results

In what's being called a breakthrough in the fight against pancreatic cancer, a new vaccine that uses the same mRNA technology as the COVID-19 shots appears to be a promising treatment for certain patients -- so much so that researchers are throwing around the word "cure."

Dana is joined by Dr. Anup Kasi, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, who explains why this news is so exciting.

"I think we need to be cautiously optimistic," said Dr Kasi. "But nevertheless, I think it is promising, the early findings from this preliminary study."

Dr. Kasi said pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancer, so this treatment could change many lives.
