Burlington Police Department personnel submitted the following reports:

The following reports were received at The Burlington Record on Monday, June 6.

Saturday, April 16, 5 p.m.: Burlington Police and fire were dispatched to the 600 block of 7th St. for a report of a fire. There were several kids that had started the fire and were playing around it. After investigation, warnings were given to parents and no further action was done.

Friday, April 15, 10:18 p.m.: Officer Lund assisted in response for a request to cover KCC Sheriff’s Office, on a stop at the 400 block of South Lincoln St. Driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and transported to jail. Methamphetamine was found on the suspect.

Sunday, May 1, 2:57 p.m.: Officer More responded to a domestic violence assault in 1300 block of Elm St.

Monday, May 2, 04:50 p.m.: Corporal C. Gramm, heard the Kit Carson County Communications Center state there was a suspicious vehicle that was driving by the Sacred Heart Academy Catholic School in the 100 block of 10th St. where multiple times he was seen filming parents and students at the time of release. This was connected to a previous case with the same individual.

Tuesday, May 19, 03:45 p.m.: A male came into the Police Department office to register as a sex offender because he works in Burlington, but lives in Stratton. So he is dual registered.

Sunday, April, 24, 04:18 p.m.: Officer Lund was on patrol near the intersection of Fay Street and Mike Lounge, when he observed a male, which he knew did not have a valid driver’s license from previous encounters. He radioed the tags in and conferred that the suspect was driving without a license. He then stopped him. The female passenger also had a warrant for failure to appear in another jurisdiction. The driver was issued a summons for driving under restraint. The female was arrested and transported and booked into the jail on her warrant.

Saturday, May 7, in the 400 block of Mike Lounge Drive. Officer Lund was dispatched to this area to a report of juveniles shooting BB Guns. Juveniles ran. One was located and charged with discharge of firearms, possession of marijuana, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Tuesday, May 31, 9 a.m.: A male came into the Burlington Police Department to initially register as a sex offender. His information was recorded. He was advised he needed to return by his birthday in 4/2023 to re-register.
