The Patriots waived Nordin (undisclosed) on Friday.
Nordin latched on with the Patriots last year but dealt with an abdomen injury and never made his NFL debut. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, the undrafted kicker out of Michigan hasn't been practicing this spring due to a possible injury. In a corresponding move, New England signed Tristan Vizcaino, who worked out with the team during the team's minicamp this week.
