Sentara Norfolk General Hospital did not have the power to intervene and prevent an infant born there from going home with her parents, even after the grandfather warned the hospital they were unfit parents, according to Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney Ramin Fatehi. The parents have now been charged with second-degree murder and child abuse in the death of the infant.
