An excited New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft visited the Boston Celtics in the locker room after Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Boston won the game 116-100, taking a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Kraft sat courtside during the game, next to Celtics majority owner Wyc Grousbeck.
After the game, Kraft stood next to Grousbeck and head coach Ime Udoka in the locker room and spoke to the Celtics players.
Kraft, who owns one of the NFL teams tied for the most championship victories in that league's history, offered words of encouragement as the Celtics try to win an NBA-record 18th championship.
"I've been watching the Celtics since I've been a kid — and that's a few years ago, back with Bill Russell, Bob Cousey, (Bill) Sharman and (Jim) Loscutoff — and I loved the teams right up through (Larry) Bird. But seeing this, you guys have something special here," Kraft said.
Kraft was one of nearly two dozen celebrities spotted in TD Garden during Game 3. The list included Hall of Famers Paul Pierce and Bill Walton; Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and several players; and Grammy Award-winning rapper and singer Nelly.
Game 4 is Friday in Boston.
