With the end of the spring sports season comes awards and the All-State awards for the 2021-2022 track and field season were announced with Carbon athletes grabbing 10 nods and the Spartans landing five on the list. The All-State award is voted on by coaches around the state in each sport.

For Carbon, the ladies grabbed seven of the ten spots. Tymber Bennett made the list for her accomplishments in the javelin. Mia Crompton in the 4×100. Eminie Elliot made the cut for hurdles, long jump and the 4×100. Haley Garrish, who is the new Carbon High record holder for the discus, was selected for shot put and discus. Lindsey Jespersen got the honor for hurdles. Lyndee Mower got the nod for her performance in the 4×100 and two-time state champion in the high jump, Haylee Prescott made the list for high jump, long jump, 200 and 4×100.

The Carbon boys had three athletes given honors. Will Carmichael in the high jump as well as state champion Traxton Jewkes in the high jump. And state champion Bowden Robinson made the list in the javelin and shot put.

For Emery two ladies and three boys made the list. Whitley Christiansen and Daicee Ungerman both made the list for their performances in the high jump.

Derek Canterberry made the list in three areas: shot put, discus and javelin. Jess Christiansen made it in three distances the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters. And Maddox Christman earned his mentions for shot put and discus.
