Sheriff’s Report

May 27, 2022

 

Deputies received a report of a family disturbance in the 25000 block of County Road 41. After further investigation, deputies determined that nothing criminal had occurred.

 

Deputies observed several code enforcement violations in the town of Otis and the town of Akron. The owners were given warnings.

 

Deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of Highway 71 for an abandoned vehicle on the property as well as a stolen vehicle from the same property. The stolen vehicle was later located in the Denver area. The case is under investigation.

 

May 28, 2022

 

Deputies received a report of a juvenile runaway in the town of Akron. Efforts were made to locate the juvenile but were unsuccessful. The juvenile was entered into the National Database as a runaway.

 

Deputies observed a vehicle swerving on Highway 34 and made a traffic stop. After further investigations, deputies arrested Victor Morales Lerma for driving under the influence. Morales Lerma was taken to the Washington County Justice Center and was later released on a $6,000.00 PR Bond.

 

May 29, 2022

 

Deputies were dispatched to a verbal disturbance in the 300 block of East 4th Street in the town of Akron. After further investigation, it was determined that nothing criminal had occurred and had the parties separate for the night.

 

May 30, 2022

 

Deputies were dispatched to a harassment in the town of Akron. Deputies warned the parties involved of the consequences of their actions and possible charges if it continued.

 

Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of East 1st in the town of Akron for a family disturbance. After further investigation, deputies determined nothing criminal had occurred and the parties were separated.

 

May 31, 2022

 

Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 34. Deputies made a traffic stop and cited Wayne Nelson with speeding (20-39 over posted speed) and passing on the left in an unsafe manner.

 

JUNE 1, 2022

 

Deputies received a report of phone harassment in the town of Akron. The case is under investigation.

 

Deputies received a report of a stolen wallet. The case is under investigation.

 

Deputies received a report of phone harassment in the town of Akron where the party had made threats to the victim. The case is under investigation.

 

JUNE 2, 2022

 

Deputies were called to the 300 block of Custer in the town of Akron for a medical. After further investigation, the party was fine and a false report was made. The case is under investigation.

PALLADINO, JANENE, age 56, HIGHWAY 71 and COUNTY ROAD 24, Speeding (10-19 over posted speed).
