The filing period for municipal offices for Weatherford opens 8 a.m. Monday, Ann Brown, Secretary of the Custer County Election Board, said. The filing period closes 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 15.
Ward 2 Commissioner Jimmy Ingram said he plans to file for his seat again and Ward 4 Commissioner Mark Shadid said he is undecided on whether or not re will file to run again.
Candidate filing forms are available online at www.elections.ok.gov. Click the Candidate Info tab to access information and Candidate Filing Forms (fillable). Filing forms also are available at the Custer County Election Board office, 633 N. 6th St., in Clinton.
The Primary Election is scheduled for August 23, and if needed a General Election November 8.
