ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Pride have placed coach Amanda Cromwell and first assistant coach Sam Greene on a temporary administrative leave immediately, pending the results of a current investigation, the club announced Tuesday.

The decisions follow recommendations from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the NWSL Players Association (NWSLPA) Joint Investigative Team. This is an interim step while the investigation is ongoing, and no final determinations or conclusions have been reached.

Assistant coach Seb Hines will coach the Pride for now.

"Providing a respectful environment and adhering to all league policies are of the utmost priority for the Pride,” the club said in a statement.

The organization said it is committed to fully cooperating with the Joint Investigative Team and would have no other comments at this time.

The Pride have a 2-3-2 record in their first seven games this season and are winless in their past three games, including a 5-0 defeat to the Houston Dash on Friday.

The Pride named Crowell as coach in late December. She is a former U.S. national team member who joined the Pride from UCLA after a 25-year head coaching tenure at the collegiate ranks compiling a 356-126-44 coaching record (.680 winning percentage). She also coached at UCF for 14 seasons.
