The Central Mass High School Sports Awards will be held June 22 at the Hanover Theatre & Conservatory for the Performing Arts

The Worcester Telegram & Gazette is proud to announce Charlie Coyle as the guest speaker at the 2022 Central Mass High School Sports Awards, presented by DCU - Digital Federal Credit Union, at 7:30 on June 22 at Hanover Theatre & Conservatory for the Performing Arts.  

More than 200 high school athletes from across the Central Mass area will be honored. The show will also name players of the year for more than 20 sports and include several major awards, including overall Players of the Year, Teams of the Year, Coaches of the Year and a Courage Award.  

“I’m honored to host the Central Mass High School Sports Awards this year," said Coyle, a forward with the Boston Bruins. “These student athletes never cease to amaze me with their hard work and dedication, and I'm proud to be a part of recognizing and honoring their accomplishments." 

Charlie Coyle will be the guest speaker at the Central Mass High School Sports Awards.

Coyle scored 16 goals with 28 assists this past season for the Bruins, with two more in their seven-game first-round playoff series loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Coyle, a native of Weymouth, Mass., has spent the past four seasons in Boston after being traded from Minnesota, where he started his NHL career in 2013. Coyle, who also played at Boston University, was a first-round draft pick in 2010.
