Former LSU linebacker and Bradie James will be on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation announced on Monday.

James played at LSU from 1999-2002. He attended Woosman in Monroe during his freshman through junior seasons and transferred to West Monroe for his senior year.

James, an All-American in 2002, holds the single-season program record for tackles and is second in school history in career tackles. He  was also a two-time All-SEC first-team selection.

He was a fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2003 NFL Draft and played 10 seasons in the NFL.

He is one of 80 players on this year's ballot, which includes Florida's Tim Tebow, Miami's Ray Lewis and Southern Cal's Reggie Bush. The 2023 class will be announced early next year.
