Cody Cubs Drop a Pair at Billings

The Cody Cubs made a trip up to the Treasure State, on Saturday, for a double header against the Billings Cardinals.

The Cubs would be swept for the first time this season, losing game 1 by a final of 5-0 and dropped game 2, 7-3.

The Cubs just couldn’t muster up enough hits in the first game as they were held to just 5 base knocks.

In game 2, errors reared their ugly head. Of the 7 runs Billings scored, just 2 were earned.

Following the action the Cubs are now 8-4 on the season.

Up Next: The Cubs play host to the Lovell Mustangs, Monday (tonight) for their first conference games of the season. It’s a double header with game 1 underway at 5pm. On Tuesday, the Cubs get another crack at Billings as they host the Cardinals for a twin bill, also starting at 5pm.
