Summer concert scene: Andrea Bocelli, Kendrick Lamar, Vince Gill and more coming to OKC

School's out, the calendar has flipped to June, and the central Oklahoma concert scene is heating up. 

From the Oklahoma debut of esteemed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli to homecoming shows for Sooner State musical heroes Vince Gill and BRONCHO, here are some of our top picks for OKC concertgoers this summer.

Oklahoma City Philharmonic's 'American Gold' 

8 p.m. June 9, Civic Center Music Hall 

The OKC orchestra finally gets to perform the Classics program it planned for February's Black History Month and delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring the Ambassadors' Concert Choir and Canterbury Voices, the program will include Duke Ellington’s tone poem "Harlem," Rosephanye Powell’s "The Cry of Jeremiah" and Antonín Dvorak’s "New World Symphony." 

Midland 

8 p.m. June 9, The Criterion 

The Grammy-nominated country band is touring in support of its new album "The Last Resort: Greetings From." 

Andy Grammer  

8 p.m. June 10, Tower Theatre 

The multiplatinum singer-songwriter will play his radio hits “Honey I’m Good,” “Keep Your Head Up,” “Don’t Give Up On Me” and more.  

Jesse McCartney 

8 p.m. June 15, Diamond Ballroom 

The singer, songwriter and actor's hits include “Beautiful Soul," “Leavin’” and "Body Language" (featuring T-Pain). 

BRONCHO 

8 p.m. June 18, Tower Theatre 

The Tulsa-based punk rockers bring their "I Know You Tour" to OKC, with fellow Oklahoma bands Labrys and Twiggs as special guests.  

Andrea Bocelli 

8 p.m. June 23, Paycom Center 

The globally acclaimed Italian tenor will make his Oklahoma debut accompanied by the OKC Philharmonic and Canterbury Voices.  

Cody Johnson

The Texas country star returns to the downtown OKC arena as he tours in support of his new 18-track double album "Human." 

Soft Hands

Get on board for a good time as these OKC musicians perform everything from the smoothest Yacht Rock hits to full-on tributes to Prince, George Michael and other legends.

ZZ Top

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are out on their "Raw Whiskey Tour" with special guest Collective Soul.  

The Toasters 

8 p.m. June 26, 89th Street OKC 

Founded in New York in 1981, the group is one of the original American third-wave ska bands. 

Flatland Cavalry

The country and Americana outfit, which hails from Lubbock, Texas, has been having a landmark year since the release of its new album, "Welcome to Countryland," last summer.
