A 27-year old Reynolds (ND) man escaped serious injury after the pickup he was driving was hit by a BNSF train on Friday.

A T-bone style crash early Sunday morning sent two people to the hospital with severe injuries. The North Dakota Patrol says the accident involved a pickup and a semi at the intersection of U-S 52 and North Dakota 14 near Anamoose (ND).
A 21-year old driver of the pickup and a 17 year old passenger were airlifted to Minot’s Trinity Hospital. The semi driver was not injured.
A stretch of ND 52 was closed form over six hours.

A 35 year old South Dakota man and his 13 year old female passenger sustained serious injuries when he crashed his motorcycle in North Dakota’s McKenzie County on Sunday.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist was heading north on Highway 1806 when he experienced some mechanical issues. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and tipped. They were transported to the McKenzie County Hospital. The teen was later air lifted to Trinity in Minot.

The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department says Andrew Wilson was heading east on 3rd Avenue NE in Reynolds when he was struck by the train on the passenger side of the vehicle. The impact pushed the pickup into the ditch. Authorities say Wilson suffered minor injuries to his ribs and a cut on the nose. He was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks by family.
The tracks were inspected by BNSF teams and declared safe and operational.
