Despite being one of the most known classic bands in the industry, The Who is not taking any requests from fans. Recently, Pete Townshend made it clear during one of their shows after a fan shouted out of nowhere.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the band was halfway through their set when they experienced a problem with their sound.

They were singing "I Can See for Miles," but they were cut off in the middle of the performance as vocalist Roger Daltrey was having problems with his monitor.

Technicians immediately came to the rescue and fixed the minor inconvenience after a few minutes.

Once they're back on track, Daltry and Townshend grab their microphones; however, they're unsure whether they'll continue singing the song or proceed to perform the next track.

Since they still didn't know what to perform next, a fan in the crowd shouted "Naked Eye."

Townshend wasn't happy with the concertgoer's actions, so he replied, "Just shut up."

He didn't stop there as he continued lecturing the fan, saying, "Just shut the f*** up with Naked fucking Eye, alright? We don't do f****** requests."

The musician later clarified his statement, saying he loves his fans as he had seen them many times before. He also cracked a joke, saying, "you f****** paid for my Ferrari, I'm sure."

The audience cheered and laughed after the short rant. Townshend looked at Roger Daltrey and asked him what he wanted to play next.

The singer hilariously replied, "Naked Eye."

"You're gonna get me to play 'Naked Eye' after all that?" he said. The band ultimately played the hit song.

According to the outlet, the track was a part of their 1974 album titled "Odds and Sods."

The Who 2022 'Who Hits Back' Tour

The band is currently on its 29-date tour across the United States. They kicked off in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, last April 22.

This is the first time the band has returned to stage since February 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Who is joined by an orchestra throughout their shows, and they will perform songs from their decades-long music catalog.

Roger Daltrey was supposed to have a separate solo tour in 2020, but it was also canceled due to the pandemic.

They will wrap up their tour with a two-night performance at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 5.
