Wabash River from Lafayette downstream to Mount Carmel.

.Following the heavy rain last week, the Wabash River from Lafayette
southward remains in flood, and flooding will last as long as into
mid to late week next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

back up local tributaries.  River road near Mecca is impassable.
Higher county roads and bottomlands begin to flood.

- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Friday afternoon and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to
flood.  Higher bottomlands begin to flood.  Water backs up most
local tributaries.  River water is at the top of some private
levees.  Lowest county roads begin to flood.  Parke CR 75 W begins
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 19.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday was 20.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

becomes rather extensive.  Most low roads are flooded.

- At 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday /9:30 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 20.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday /9:30 PM CDT Wednesday/ was
20.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday afternoon and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

The Mill opens for the season with Flo Rida concert

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Mill is officially open for the season, and people got low to Flo Rida for the first big concert!

The Mill had its ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday evening to kick off a concert-filled summer.

People from all over the Wabash Valley made their way to Terre Haute for the first concert of the season.

Vigo County Commissioner, Chris Switzer, says having this venue will bring more tourism and growth into town.

"People are usually going out of town to go to a concert. Usually fair time there's a concert, but that's only one time a year. So, getting to be able to go in our own backyard and enjoy a concert with our friends and have a good time means a lot to the community," Switzer said.

The next concert is set for July 9th with singer-songwriter Scott Stapp.
