In Loving Memory of Adelene Lillian Archuleta

Adelene Lillian Archuleta, age 79, was born on February 4, 1941 in Capulin, NM to Lewis and Eutimia Martinez. Lillian passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2020, at the Colfax General Long-Term Care Facility in Springer, where she had resided for the last 19 ½ months.
Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tony Edwin Archuleta Sr. on December 2, 2019, after 61 years of marriage; Beloved grandsons, Tony Edwin Archuleta III, Allen Samuel Archuleta; Brother, Lewis Jr., and wife Rachel Martinez; Sister, Molly and husband Obed Ortiz, Charlene “Bobo” Winn; Brother-in-Law, Alfred Sintas, Floyd Ledoux, John Raught, Pete Rodriguez; Sisters-in-Law, Theresa and husband Sam Martinez, Lucy and husband Don Cordova, Sophia Archuleta; Brothers-in-Law, Charlie and wife Ingrid Archuleta and John Henry Archuleta.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Archuleta of Springer, NM., and her companion Leroy Fernandez of Cimarron, NM. Sons; Tony Edwin Archuleta Jr. and wife Sandra of Yuma, AZ. and Ronald Archuleta of Springer, NM. Grandchildren; Edward Archuleta of Espanola, NM. Adelene Urquijo of Espanola, NM. And Kassandra Archuleta of Yuma, AZ. Great-Grandsons; Hilario Archuleta of Albuquerque, NM., Allen Samuel Archuleta ll of Yuma, AZ., Great Granddaughters Adriana and Mariana Urquijo of Springer, NM. Sisters; Stella Sintas of Raton, NM., Earlene LeDoux of Cimarron, NM., Pauline Raught of Santa Fe, NM., Marion Rodriguez of Raton, NM. Brother Dickie Martinez of Phoenix, AZ. Brother-in-Law John Henry Archuleta of Roswell, NM. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and best friends; Lorraine Trujillo, Frances “Granny” Esquibel, Mary Garcia, and Sam and Gloria Roy all of Springer, NM.
Lillian was a devout Catholic who was a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society, she attended Sunday Mass and could be found praying The Rosary, The Divine Mercy Chaplet, her Bible, and all her daily prayers while she was still residing at home.
Lillian held many jobs throughout her life including waitressing as well as being a Safe Ride Driver, but she will be remembered most as the Cook at Springer High School during her 23-year career there. Lillian’s most rewarding job was being the BEST wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend there was.
Services for Adelene Archuleta are pending and are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
