ELK CITY, Okla. (WKRC) - An Oklahoma doctor was arrested Thursday after he allegedly drugged, groped, and threatened a woman.
Officials say 54-year-old Dr. Kamran Massoumi, an ophthalmologist, went on a date with the woman on Christmas Eve in 2021, and was with her until Christmas morning.
After dinner, he apparently invited her to a hotel for drinks.
According to investigators, security camera footage from the hotel captured Massoumi putting a white powdery substance into her glass.
The victim reportedly told police that as they were walking back to his room, she was "dizzy" and felt "Novocaine all over her body."
"[Massoumi] told me to lie down and began groping my body," she said, according to court documents. "I pushed him away."
Police say she told them that he threatened her, and she was "afraid he could kill her."
She was picked up from the hotel by a friend, who reportedly told investigators that the victim's speech was slurred when she arrived.
Massoumi has been charged with biochemical assault. It is unclear if he has entered a plea.
