Joshua Rogers Scores His First Gospel Airplay No. 1 With ‘Still Gon’ Trust’

Plus, Matthew West's "Me on Your Mind" hits the Christian Airplay top 10.

Joshua Rogers‘ “Still Gon’ Trust” ascends to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Gospel Airplay chart dated June 4. In the tracking week ending May 29, the single increased by 6% in plays, according to Luminate.

The song, which Percy Bady and Lucius Hoskins co-wrote, marks the first leader on the survey for the 28-year-old Rogers, who hails from Greeleyville, S.C. Rogers first gained prominence as the 2012 winner of BET’s talent show Sunday Best.

Rogers tallied the first of his five Gospel Airplay entries with “So Good,” which peaked at No. 19 in December 2013. “Pour Your Oil” reached No. 4 in March 2019, followed by “I Need You” (No. 16, March 2020) and “Returning” (No. 30, March 2021).

Rogers’ first album, Well Done, debuted at No. 1 on Top Gospel Albums in December 2012. Unconditional opened and peaked at No. 2 in November 2013 and Returning landed at its No. 14 best in October 2018.

West’s Latest Top 10

On Christian Airplay, Matthew West banks his 24th top 10 as “Me on Your Mind” rises 11-10, up 8% to 5.5 million audience impressions.

The song, which West co-wrote, is his first top 10 since “What If,” which led for four frames starting last November, marking his 11th No. 1.

West ties TobyMac for the fifth-most Country Airplay top 10s, dating to the list’s inception in June 2003. Chris Tomlin leads with 30, followed by Casting Crowns (29), MercyMe (28) and Jeremy Camp (25).
