Hollyoaks fans will bid goodbye to Kéllé Bryan's character Martine Deveraux later today (June 3).
The former Eternal singer joined the soap four years ago, but during her latest panel appearance on Loose Women, Bryan announced she's stepping away from the role.
Taking a deep breath, she told Kaye Adams, Sunetra Sarker and Jane Moore: "Ugh gosh this is really weird. This is a secret that I've been keeping for so long so actually saying it out loud feels really weird.

"So, tonight on Hollyoaks will be my very last scene. So, exclusively for Loose Women, I'm departing the show after four years of playing the same character, I'm off!"
Elaborating on what's to come, the actress teased: "So tonight the Hollyoaks fans will be able to see what happens to Martine and all the dynamics between myself and Richard Blackwood, who plays my husband [Felix Westwood]."
Shown an excerpt from Martine's final scene, Bryan was caught welling up, as she admitted to her Loose Women pals: "That's made me a little bit upset!"

Accepting the Hollyoaks gig proved a mammoth undertaking for Bryan way back in 2018, after suffering a stroke just a year prior.
"I did worry. A lot. And I did worry whether it was too soon. I thought it was going to be too soon because it's a highly-pressured job," she said in 2019. "It's not like a drama where you've got time to rehearse. It's, 'Here you go, read through, shoot'.
"Learning to read and write again was a big thing for me, so putting myself on a soap opera... I get scripts everyday. That's out of my comfort zone."
Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
