Paula D. Miller

Paula D. Miller, 51, died, May 27, 2022, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

She was born on June 25, 1970, the daughter of William and Barbara (Wilken) Miller.

A resident of Winfield since 1992, moving from Scott City, she was a high school math teacher for USD No. 470 in Arkansas City.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, NEA, KNEA, and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Paula graduated from Scott Community High School in 1988. In 1992, she received her bachelors degree in secondary math education, followed by a Master’s degree in mathematics in 2000, both from Emporia State University.

Paula was awarded with the Exceptional Educator Award twice while in Arkansas City.

Survivors include her parents, Scott City; one brother, Dak Miller and wife, Monique, Scott City; one niece, Anna Hayes and husband, Lane, Scott City; one nephew, Lance Miller, Scott City; one great-nephew, Weston Hayes, Scott City, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one aunt, Margaret Scalia.

Funeral service will be Sat., June 4, 10:30 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Scott City, with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding. Services will be livestreamed at www.priceandsons.com.

Visitation will be from Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.

Memorials may be written to the First Christian Church or the Paula Miller Scholarship Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.
