Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo have called off their engagement, the Italian singer confirmed via Instagram on Thursday.
“I wish only the best for this person and I will always be there for her. I love you,” he wrote in a lengthy statement posted to his feed.
According to People, who was first to report the news, the two parted ways amicably.
“Their conflicting schedules led to a lot of time apart that eventually resulted in the breakup,” an insider told the outlet.
Page Six has reached out to Thorne and Mascolo for comment.
Mascolo, 28, proposed to Thorne, 24, in March 2021 after nearly two years of dating.
“She said YES @bellathorne,” Mascolo exclaimed on Instagram at the time, posting a series of photos and videos of the actress showing off her pear-shaped engagement ring.
“I love you so much,” she said to Mascolo, who responded, “Thank you for being amazing, baby. I love you so much.”
Thorne also posted a close-up shot of her massive ring at the time, writing, “He knows exactly my style.”
The two first started hanging out in April 2019, days after the former “Shake It Up” star announced her split from rapper Mod Sun.
Two months later, Thorne confirmed her relationship with Mascolo to People, gushing, “Ben is a cutie pie, and seeing him on FaceTime all the time makes me smile very big. Clearly, he lives in Italy, so it’s an interesting thing.”
The pair made their romance Instagram-official days after that, just as she and Mod Sun — who proposed to Avril Lavigne in April — were tying up the loose ends of their very messy breakup.
Shortly thereafter, Thorne and Mascolo debuted matching necklaces and took a romantic vacation to Mexico in January 2021, where they were photographed getting handsy on the beach.
