SAFFORD —Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Foundation was the recent recipient of a significant donation.
Safford’s Arcadia Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star donated $75,000 to the foundation, which will add another $25,000 in order to purchase four new labor and delivery beds, and two postpartum beds, for MGRMC’s Obstetrics Department.
The Arcadia Chapter also donated $75,000 to Northern Cochise Community Hospital in Willcox.
The funds come from the late Cyrus Clinton Blair, who left a deed for mineral rights in Wyoming to the Harmony chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star in Willcox. Blair lived in Willcox until his death in 1973. The Harmony chapter was later merged into the Arcadia chapter to serve both the Gila Valley and Willcox.
