Two men have been sentenced for their involvement in the ongoing Furnas County sex trafficking case.
Landon Hoffman, 23, was sentenced Wednesday to five years probation and 90 days in jail on one count of committing child abuse negligently-no injury.
Jacob Putnam, 32, was sentenced to 18 months probation and 30 days in jail on one count of committing child abuse negligently-no injury.
In Dec. 2021, Hoffman pleaded no contest to one count of committing child abuse negligently with no injuries and was found guilty.
In March, Putnam pled no contest to one count of committing child abuse negligently with no injuries. In exchange for his plea, the charge was reduced from committing child abuse intentionally with no injuries.
Affidavits in the cases have been sealed, but complaints say the cases involved a minor between the age of 12 and 16. The victim is the same one involved in the other Furnas County sex trafficking cases.
At least 20 men have been charged in the ongoing sex trafficking case.
